Scope of treatment
The Center for Endocrine and Abdominal Surgery focuses on two separate fields of medical expertise and can thus offer patients a wide range of treatment.
Various diagnostic tests and surgical procedures are used to treat benign and malignant tumors of the thyroid, parathyroid and adrenal glands (endocrine surgery). The ABBA method of operating on these glands is generally acknowledged to be state of the art and gentle. No incisions in the throat are necessary, and there is no visible scarring.
Our other specialty is abdominal surgery for inguinal, abdominal wall and incisional hernias. We also perform gallbladder operations and appendectomies as well as surgical procedures for gastro¬esophageal reflux disease (heartburn) and adhesive disease. To ensure optimal results with a minimum of risk, Michael Imhof, M.D. uses minimally invasive procedures.
