Welcome to the Center for Endocrine and Abdominal Surgery in the ATOS Hospital, Heidelberg.

In 2009, the new Center for Endocrine and Abdominal Surgery was opened by Adj. Professor Michael Imhof, M.D. as part of the ATOS Hospital in Heidelberg. This added two new areas of expertise to the ATOS Hospital, providing improved and more extended services for patients. 

Our specialist surgeon aims to maintain the highest standards in endocrine and abdominal surgery. We specialize in treating benign and malignant tumors of the thyroid, the parathyroid and the adrenal gland. Our focus is on minimally invasive surgery, and we use approaches such as the ABBA method (Axilo-Bilateral-Breast Approach). This improves cosmetic results by using parasternal incision.

We also specialize in abdominal surgery such as laparoscopic repair of inguinal or incisional hernias, in addition to gallbladder operations and appendectomies.
